Shine bright with the Pink Star Tulip. You'll be tickled pink by the tulip's magenta and rose petals, each of which are rimmed in apricot orange accents. These feathery petals curl upwards in concentric, overlapping layers to create this double tulip's deep, bowl shaped bloom. This strain of Tulipa blossoms in mid spring and continues to flower through the end of the season.

Make these double late tulips truly twinkle by planting them in the fall. Your sweet stars will fade if exposed to too much moisture, so make sure to plant them in well-drained clay, loamy or sandy soil, about 6 inches deep and 2 to 3 inches apart. These Dutch-sourced beauties thrive in either full sunlight or partial shade and are hardy in zones 3 through 8.

These radiant, late blooming tulips are notoriously easy to maintain, which makes them an excellent choice for large-scale planting projects. They will look ravishing in neat, narrow rows, or consider scattering the bulbs and watch them illuminate empty fields with their rosy light. Their vivid blooms look stunning in spring bouquets and last well in vases, which also makes them a great option for cutting gardens. Light up your life with the Pink Star tulip.
