For each offer ordered, get 10Get a jump on spring for years to come with Red Matador Jumbo Perennial Tulips. These vibrant red beauties return year after year, growing more robust with each season. Their bright, signal-red petals form a classic, extra-large tulip flower. Big, bold green leaves and a 24- to 26-inch height make these Red Matador tulips a vivid backdrop that set off lower-growing plants hyacinths and daffodils.
Plan ahead for bountiful spring colour by planting your Red Matador tulip bulbs in the early fall, about 6 – 8 weeks before the first frost. Tulips prefer full sun to partial shade and sandy, well-drained soil. Plant the bulbs 4 to 6 inches apart, pointy end up, in an 8-inch deep hole. Hardy in planting zones 3 – 8, these gorgeous tulips not only return annually, they also have a long bloom time, lasting from early to mid-spring.
Try pairing your perennial tulips with an assortment of other mid-spring blooming perennials like English bluebells and English wood hyacinth. A bold declaration of spring, Red Matador jumbo perennial tulips create welcoming walkways, brighten borders and beds and look beautiful in a vase on the table. Usher in the spring season in style with this dynamic jumbo perennial tulip.
