Add dramatic colour to your landscape with the stunning Purple de Oro Reblooming Daylily. Featuring deep purple petals with throats of yellow and green, these daylilies present bountiful 3-inch trumpet-shaped blooms. These beautiful Dutch-sourced flowers will create an exquisite 15 to 20 inch tall backdrop to borders and flowerbeds in early to midsummer and again in autumn.

Plant your purple de Oro daylilies (hemerocallis) in the autumn, with the roots buried 1 inch below the soil level and spaced 15 to 20 inches apart. These plants prefer well-drained loamy or sandy soil, but tolerate clay soil. Adaptable and tough, purple de Oro reblooming daylily thrive in hardiness zones 3 to 9 and enjoy full to partial sun. These hardy Dutch flowers are very low maintenance, and are drought, pest and rabbit-resistant.

The purple de Oro reblooming daylily makes a beautiful long-lasting flower arrangement, so be sure to add some to your cutting garden. Plant your daylilies in groups of 12 or more for vivid spots of colour in your landscape. They look right at home beneath deciduous shrubs and trees and make excellent foundation plantings. These purple daylilies are a great transitional flower, as they bloom in summer and rebloom in the fall. Enjoy delightful colour twice a year with these gorgeous purple daylilies.
