Jazz up your early to midsummer garden with the charm and elegance of the Prunotto Asiatic Lily. Rising regally on strong, tall stalks, its bright crimson coloured blooms, resembling an orchestra of trumpets, beg you to share their beauty indoors. Prunotto Asiatic lily is a favored indoor cut flower, prized for its long-lasting blooms and lack of fragrance.
These Asiatic lily bulbs are recommended for zones 3 to 8, and should be planted in a spot with full to half sun. They are not too choosy, and do well in well drained sandy, loamy or clay soil. The Prunotto Asiatic lily requires well drained soil and grows to 36 to 40 inches tall and between 6 and 12 inches wide. Place the perennial lily bulbs in the soil 9 to 12 inches apart and 6 inches deep.
Companion plants that complement the red Asiatic lily are roses, ferns, clematis and peonies. You can also choose English and Dutch iris that bloom at the same time of year. These tall lilies look wonderful in the back of a flower bed as a border planting, planted in clusters or placed in front of hedges or fences. Decorate your home and garden with the Prunotto Asiatic Lily, and welcome its beauty indoors and out.
