Our hand-selected Dutch Hardy Gladiolus Mixture adds brilliant colour to your early summer garden. Including a blazing mix of pinks, oranges, whites and multi-coloured blooms, this assortment features several gladiolus nanus varieties with eye-catching patterns on their petals. Growing 24 to 28 inches, these gladiolus are a delight to see, with their showy funnel shaped blooms alternating their way up tall spikes.

Gladiolus nanus is an especially hardy variety and can be left in the ground year round in zones 4 to 9, unlike some varieties, which need to be lifted in the fall. Plant your hardy gladiolus bulbs in the early spring for a June bloom. They prefer well-drained, lightly fertilized clay, sandy or loamy soil in a sunny spot. Place the bulbs 6 inches deep and 3 to 4 inches apart, pointed end up, for best growth. We recommend staking gladiolus, as their bountiful blossoms can make them top heavy.

Gorgeous as cut flowers, this hardy gladiolus mixture makes a wonderful addition to any cutting garden. Make them a focal point in an island or plant them behind low growing companions like impatiens and zinnias as a stunning backdrop. Combine this mix with a variety of other early- and late-blooming gladiolus varieties for a fantastic show all season long.
