Invigorate your garden with Dark Pink Hardy Cyclamens. These 4- to 6-inch tall perennial flowers bloom in mid to late summer and produce up to thirty flowers per bulb. The flowers' petals resemble fanning butterfly wings perched on top of delicate brown stems. Lily-pad shaped leaves embellish the ground around the flowers with their marbled green and silver hues. The leaves stay green throughout the winter and the plants are deer resistant, which makes them great for woodland planting.
These distinct Dutch cyclamens are hardy in zones 5 through 8. Unlike most summer flowering bulbs, Cyclamen cilicium thrive in full to partial shade and can be used to fill in dark corners of your garden. Plant your cyclamen bulbs in the fall, about 2 inches deep and 6 inches apart in well-drained clay, loamy or sandy soil. The aptly named hardy cyclamen will multiply year after year.
Use your dark pink cyclamens to add some vibrant colour to the darker nooks and crannies of your garden. Plant them in rows along tall fences or down the shadier sides of houses and sheds. They also look wonderful underneath solitary trees and shrubs, or scattered throughout rock gardens and groves. Brighten things up with dark pink hardy cyclamens.
