Rosy pink Angelique Tulip perennials are every bit as soft and delicate as a first love. The lush petals are stuffed into a bowl shaped bloom, so that each flower resembles a peony. Tulipa double late angelique comes to life in mid- or late spring, and blends in nicely with sweet-smelling lilacs, bold pink pansies and cheery spring daffodils.

These flowers bloom best in a hardiness zone between 3 and 8 and in a sunny or semi-shaded area. Begin by burying the Dutch bulbs about 6 inches deep and 3 to 6 inches apart. You'll need to water your Angelique tulips regularly in the summer, fall and winter, so make sure that the sandy, clay or loamy soil is very well drained. After the blooms fade and you prune them away, resume your regular watering schedule and look forward to more pink colour when the frost begins to fade.

Angelique Tulips are ideal in a cutting garden or as highlights along a fence or border. These flowers grow into rather tall plants of between 16 and 18 inches, so place them in a dominant spot in your garden. Add delicate colour and aroma to your outdoor space or indoor flower vase for years to come with these lightly-scented tulipa double late angelique flowers.
